![]() | About Us We are an informal group of volunteers at the John Trigg Ester Library, library members who help out at the Lallapaloozas and other fundraisers, and people in the community who donate their time and effort to creating the new library building. This website is dedicated to fundraising for the library. For information on using the library, membership, library meeting minutes, work parties, or the status of the building project, go to the library website at www.esterlibrary.org. Library design Our big project right now is funding the foundation for the new library building. We hope to have the design in place and money, materials, and construction crew ready to go by May 1, 2008! The architectural team (several USKH interns, architects, and designers) are working on a final design. For more information on library events and projects, check out our upcoming events page.
Gazebo project The library property is in three parcels: a small triangle across from the Ester Post Office, a small chunk at the corner of Main Street and Village Road, and about an acre in the middle, where the library will be built. The small piece at the bottom is the perfect site for a gazebo/information kiosk/bus stop/summer reading room. Library board member Eric Glos is taking the lead on the gazebo project; come to the gazebo work parties and help us build!
