February: Lallapalooza & Library Decathlon

Our next Lallapalooza & Book Bash, in February 2010, will feature a six-event library-oriented sporting event. Librarians and bibliophiles are encouraged to participate.

May: Red Dress Party

This party/fundraiser requires all participants to dress up in a red dress (or robe or toga or kilt). It will be held May 1.

Readers on the Run!

Thirty people came to run for the library in October 2009 in a footrace and poetry composition contest!

Li-Berry Music Festival

The fourth annual library music festival was held September 13 at the Golden Eagle Saloon and Hartung Hall. Groups this year included the Back C'untry Bruthers, the Good Daze, Matt Johnson & Friends, Lost Dog, Musical Rumors, Jean McDermott, New Cut Road, Mike Stackhouse, and many more—everything from blues to jazz to rock to reggae to old-timey to celtic to jug! We had 17 pies in our annual pie-baking contest!!

The gazebo is now a functional shelter! Benches and the windows and the cork board still need to be done, but it' s almost there! Thanks very much to everyone who helped or donated materials and cash for this.
